Does your family have children who attend a French school? Lions SAS is the perfect place for youth and adults looking for engaging French Immersion experiences. Since 2013, we have specialized in offering high-quality, French-language activity sessions during the fall, winter, and spring. Our activities include swimming lessons for both children and adults, basketball lessons, soccer lessons, and arts lessons. Additionally, our Francophone summer day camp welcomes students aged four to eleven for a season filled with fun, learning, and discovery.

A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER

Meet Mme Edwidge Pierre, founder of Lions Sports, Arts, and Science


I am Mme Edwidge, founder of Lions Sports, Arts, and Science Club. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I founded the Lions SAS Club to support children in London, Ontario—a predominantly anglophone city—who are learning French or who speak French at home. Recognizing the challenges faced by students in French schools and immersion programs with regard to practising their French skills outside the classroom, my goal was to create an environment where they can continue to develop their linguistic, athletic, artistic, and academic skills outside school. We have also offered French-language day camps throughout the summer for over 17 years.

​Our programming is based on the pleasure of being active and engaged in French. Our instructors and theirs assistants are distinguished by their personality, personal qualities, reliability and unique skills. Your children are safe and in good hands at all times. Additionally, we offer a variety of activities like swimming lessons, basketball, soccer, and arts programs at different schools around London, ensuring that students can continue to thrive in French, build confidence, and have fun.

At Lions SAS, our vision has always been to create a welcoming and supportive environment where swimmers, artists and athletes of all ages and skill levels can thrive en français! Here, we believe in more than just sports, arts and sciences. We believe in inclusion, values, personal growth, and teamwork. As a staff, we are committed to helping campers, artists and athletes reach their full potential, all while improving their skills in French. As the co-founder of Lions SAS, I am incredibly proud of the community we have built, as we continue to work to accomplish this.

As someone who has swam my whole life, I know that swimming is not just a sport; it’s a lifelong skill that builds confidence, strength and resilience. As head coach, one of my main goals is to close the cultural gap that exists in exposure to water safety and swimming lessons. We want everyone to feel welcome, valued and safe while swimming with us, which is why personal connection and fundamental techniques are our top priority. My team and I are excited to be part of your family’s journey and look forward to seeing you grow both in and out of the water.
